When you are buying house or land, please get title insurance and please, please, please take a look at Schedule B of the title commitment you’ll receive before closing.
Schedule B is all the possible bad things on the land you are about to buy. Your insurance will NOT cover these Schedule B items so please read and talk with the title company about getting them removed.
