A Demand Letter is serious.

It’s the first shot at resolving a dispute without going straight to court.

A demand letter is written notice to explain what happened; what you want (like payment, repair, return or property, etc); and it gives a deadline to respond.

A good one is clear. Has facts. Is professional.

PS. Don’t exaggerate; threaten or admit things that could hurt you in the case.  Also, many contracts provide these have to be mailed by regular and certified mail; not just email – we suggest sent it all possible ways.
