Megan Hines became a lawyer to help the Davids of the world take on the Goliaths. She is passionate about ensuring that her clients receive the best representation, and she never backs down from a fight. Mrs. Hines believes that all of her clients deserve a diligent, trustworthy, and compassionate attorney.

Mrs. Hines has a bachelor’s degree in communication, health promotion, and criminal justice, pre-law from the University of North Texas, where she was on the debate team and was an officer in the Christian sorority, Sigma Phi Lambda. Before law school, Mrs. Hines worked in health care for five years and has experience working in a hospital, in home health, in nursing homes, and at a private medical practice. She attended law school and received her Juris Doctor (law degree) with a certificate in Health Law from the University of Maryland at Baltimore.

In law school, she was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution team (competitive mediation and negotiation) and represented homeless clients in the Medical-Legal Partnership clinic. She mentored juvenile offenders through the Baltimore Outreach for Student Success and helped them develop a plan for a better future. Mrs. Hines also completed her certificate in Health Care Law, which went hand in hand with her numerous years of experience in healthcare.

Through her medical experience, Mrs. Hines has undergone extensive training on psychological conditions and care, and is able to blend her knowledge about how to deal with someone who has narcissistic tendencies or other mental health conditions into her practice of law. This past experience serves her particularly well in Family Law matters.

Both Mrs. Hines and her husband are passionate about helping teens in danger of aging out of the foster care system. This past year, they adopted their 18 year old son, Kalib, and they have had two other 17 year old foster sons. Mrs. Hines also currently works with local judges and case teams to advocate for other children in foster care.

Due to her training as a foster parent and an advocate for children in foster care, Mrs. Hines has the tools necessary to handle traumatic and abusive familial situations with the level of care and discretion that they deserve.

Before partnering with The Allen Firm, Mrs. Hines spent several years working at a Medical Malpractice firm in Maryland, as well as reputable Personal Injury and Family Law firms in Texas. She is Texas-born and raised, and lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.

When she is not working, Mrs. Hines enjoys spending time with her husband Jaylan, a veteran of the U.S. Army, their sons, and their many animals on their family ranch. She also coaches basketball for the Stephenville FAITH Knights, and serves on the Alumni Task force for the UNT Debate team.

If you are looking for a lawyer who truly cares about you that will handle your case with tenacity, expertise, and a drive to achieve the best possible result, Megan Hines would be honored to represent you.
